Grapevine, Tx. Christmas On Main Street was the first stop for the unveiling of Captain Santa-Jack Sparrow. I'm sure there are more out there, but here's mine. We had hoped to take him to Tex Ren Fest but the weather was raining and cold. We went to several places over the weekend, here are a few pics.
State Fair of Tx and Tex. Ren. Fest. - Oct 20&21
Well, the last of the pics are up for the State Fair of Tx. and Tex. Ren. Fest. Sorry to everyone concerned for the delay in getting this accomplished, but with making appearances, answering emails and "REAL" life, there just wasn't enough time. I'll be starting on the pictures from the Dallas appearances next which shouldn't take as long because there aren't as many.
The State Fair of Texas - October 13 & 14, 2007
The pics are FINALLY up for these two days. The ones from 10-21-07 will be up soon.
I had a BLAST at this fair. I was surprised at the response to 'ol Captain Jack. From the very young to the very old, people wanted a picture with Jack. I probably would have done more but I think people thought there was a charge for pictures, which of course I do NOT charge. And, if you did take a picture with me, please send it to me to put on this site so I can say that I met you. Anyway, this was my first time to go the State Fair. They had LOTS of practically everything. You'd have to pull up their site to see what they had. Got to see The Killdares, a celtic rock band extraordinare. Absolutely fabulous. You HAVE to check them out. Well, I need to get started loading more pics while there's time. Tah.
Great Plains Fall Renaissance Festival 2007
This was our second trip to this faire and were once again treated warmly by everyone. The King and Queen were as hospitable as ever and treated us like part of their family as well as guest. People remembered us from the spring faire and were actually hoping we would return this time. How cool is that? The wind had been waiting for us as well though and gave a few vendors some problems but all seemed fine anyway. If all goes well, we'll be seeing you next year Great Plains Ren Fest.
Scottish Festival In Tulsa, Oklahoma 2007
I've loaded all the pics I have for this EXCELLENT festival. The people always seem to be extra friendlier in Oklahoma. We ran into several people from the Muskogee faire ( The Castle ), so that made it even better. We could only stay a half day Sunday because of the travel time back, so that was disappointing. Maybe we can schedule more time next year for this one.
